Plastic filter housing

Key Points at a Glance:

  • Are you looking for a manufacturer of custom plastic enclosures for PV storage systems? Then B&W parts for perfection is the right choice. In our own production facility in Germany, we manufacture custom plastic components.
  • For many years, we have been producing plastic enclosures and plastic components according to individual specifications for our customers. Do you have an idea in mind and are unsure whether it is technically feasible? Simply contact us. We will review your requirements and inform you of everything important for the manufacturing process.

What process is used to manufacture the plastic parts for filter containers?

We manufacture the filter containers using the extrusion blow molding process. In this special process, dimensionally stable spar bodies are formed from thermoplastics. The corresponding filter pallets are injection-molded parts that are precisely matched to the filter containers. Both processes can be used to realize customer-specific applications, which we develop and manufacture together according to your specifications.

Which plastic material is best suited for filter housings?

Polypropylene (PP) is the first choice for filter housings, as it is impact-resistant, functional and inexpensive. If you need the filter housings for special environments or extreme conditions, we can consider special materials.
We manufacture exactly the plastic parts you need for your applications. In a personal consultation beforehand, we clarify the medium for which you need the filter housings and the temperatures and pressures they must withstand. We also always advise you on the quality and cost-effectiveness of the materials.

Are there environmentally friendly or sustainable plastic alternatives that can be used for filter housings?

Theoretically, yes. There are also cheaper recycled materials in plastic production. However, these are less suitable for high-quality filter containers as they cannot withstand the pressure sufficiently. Experience has shown that filter housings made from recycled pellets tear more quickly because the recycled material is no longer as elastic.
The filter housings that we manufacture at Hofbauer can easily withstand the required test pressures. However, we can also manufacture filter containers that can withstand higher pressures.
We check the technical feasibility with you and advise you on quality and price. For example, if you require thinner wall thicknesses and lower pressure stability, we will advise you on more cost-effective alternatives in terms of material and production. You tell us what you need and we will make it possible.

Damp or Cold Basement? No Problem!

PV storage systems are often installed in basements. Low temperatures or damp basement walls are no problem for our plastic enclosures.

How large can you produce the filter housings?

We manufacture filter housings in any size. The standard size for pool filter housings, for example, is up to 120 liters. However, we can also manufacture larger sizes if required. We would be happy to advise you individually on what is feasible and sensible.
